Empowering All To Access the World…

Growing up as part of a family of educators, it was obvious to me early on that I too wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. My parents and aunts were teachers. My mother and one of my aunts later became school administrators. From a teaching and administrative perspective, the stories shared in my home were filled with passion and centered around improving experiences and outcomes for children and their families.

Considering the social and emotional well-being of children is something I have always seen as vital. Their background sets the stage for their foundation for learning and future experiences. It is important to remember that not every child coming into a classroom has had a similar experience. From my first teaching experience through today, I have prioritized building a strong rapport with my students. They must be able to trust and feel comfortable around me.

I focus on building a child’s self-esteem by identifying their strengths and assisting them to build upon areas needing growth. Learning in an experientially based, interactive classroom, empowers students to be actively engaged and to remember what they have learned.

Through empowering learners, they will see they can access the world around them, and meet with great success!
